The era of organic reach returns to Instagram

In order to encourage Instagram users to spend more time on the platform, the social network has opened the feed or home wall so that users, in addition to seeing the content of the accounts they follow, can continue to see the content from ads and other suggested accounts. In this way, the instagram feed becomes infinite, resembling that of Reels or Tik Tok where the content never ends.

Suggested publications will appear on users' walls and will be fully related to the types of accounts and content already followed. This function will be available only for the publications that are generated in the feed, not mixing the Reels or IGTV. Suggested posts are different than what users can find in the Explore tab as the pattern they work with is different.

This change is attributed to the fact that Tik Tok's mode of operation offers a relationship of contents continuously and without any limit, in which the contents of accounts followed or not are mixed. This makes the organic reach on this platform very high, allowing users with few followers to make videos that are easily viewed and even become famous almost instantly.

This way of acting of this platform has achieved that its users spend hours and hours in the application, becoming a very successful platform.

If you are a company and regularly invest in a pattern within this platform, keep two things in mind:

  1. Taking into account that organic reach may increase due to platform users spending more time exploring accounts on their walls, I recommend that you reinforce your content strategy so that your publications attract even more the attention of your audience and stand out. For its quality.
  1. It is likely that with the increase in organic reach, the space in which your ads can be displayed will also increase, so I recommend that you maintain your campaigns and do not rely solely on organic content, as it may eventually not be discovered by your audience alone.

I recommend that you keep these two premises in mind and I invite you to share in the comments how the variation in the interactions of your publications has been, with the arrival of this change.
