Google +1 and its influence on Adwords

As is well known, Google recently launched the «Google +1«, A kind of" Like "of Facebook.

While +1 will primarily serve as one of the new factors for organic ranking, it will also be included within your Adwords ads.

How does Google +1 work in Adwords?

The idea of the +1 button is quite simple, when a user has their Google session started, they can give a positive rating to the ads they find on the Google search network through this button.

The interesting thing is that this rating serves as a recommendation of the ad for the friends and contacts of the user who made the rating.

So if one of your contacts positively rates an ad with "+1" and then you find the same ad that was previously rated, you would see the ad as follows:

And how does this affect the performance of my campaigns?

The official Adwords blog explains that Google +1 buttons will NOT affect the Quality ScoreThey will basically serve as a positive rating or recommendation.

I personally believe that the "+1 effect" will be very accentuated in the CTR and Conversion Rates Of the ads with the most positive ratings, an ad recommended by a well-known person should theoretically be MUCH more attractive than an ad with no ratings from a company that you haven't interacted with yet.

People are much more predisposed to purchase a product or service recommended by a trusted acquaintance, so everyone wins.

The user gains the security of contacting or acquiring products / services from companies recommended by friends and acquaintances, the advertiser gains new clients and Google will surely improve the CTR of its Adwords ads (+ CTR = + income).

How do I make the +1 button show up in my campaigns?

To activate the +1 button in your ads you will have to pay US$10.000 and make endless tedious implementations in all your campaigns. (HAPPY APRIL'S FOOL! May your innocence be worth it! :))

Actually, the best part of all this that there is no need to do ANYTHING for the +1 button to appear in your ads, it will be a default and automatic feature in all ads.

I can't wait to try it !!!

I am also just as eager to know the impact that the +1 button will have on my different campaigns, however, at the moment this option will only be enabled for ads in English and only on Google.com (USA).

As soon as +1 is enabled all over the world, I promise a good article about the experiences you get 😉
