5 reasons to use a chatbot if you haven't already
A few months ago I have been experimenting with how to use chatbots to improve my clients' campaigns and after doing several tests, I can say that I do not know why I did not start doing this before, since the results are being very positive.
A couple of years ago I tried to do it but the technology was still quite green and it did not convince me, today however there are several tools mature enough to obtain good results.
How does a chatbot work?
A chatbot is basically a tool that allows you to generate potential customer data through one-to-one interaction with your website visitors, normally the objective of a chatbot is to obtain the name and some contact information of the visitor, such as the phone number or email, as well as a specific query about the product or service in which you are interested.
For the user it is as if they were chatting with an advisor of your company. Once the chatbot obtains the user's contact information, it is usually sent by email and / or uploaded to the chatbot's customer management system.
I personally like it a lot CliengoSince it has a large number of integrations with other tools such as Google Analytics, it is easy to implement with Google Tag Manager and it can also be integrated with different CRMs.

Here are some reasons to use a chatbot:
1) Take better advantage of your website traffic
The traffic of a website is never used at 100%, there are always many visits from users interested in your product or service who do not end up contacting.
If the user visited your website by clicking on your ad or searching for your brand on Google, ¿why not contact you?
The reality is that many users need a "push" to finish deciding to contact a company. A chatbot is a very good "push", since the user thinks that he is being assisted by a person who can help him solve his specific need in real time.
2) Increase mobile conversion rate
Completing a form from a mobile device is a cumbersome task, however chatting is a natural activity that we do every day from our mobile devices.
This is why a chat, whether manual or robot, is much more effective in generating conversions from users who are browsing from a mobile device.
3) Make better use of your human resources
Several of my clients who are currently using a chatbot used to use more manual chat tools (such as Olark or Zendesk), which although they have the functionality of using triggers, are quite complicated to fully automate.
The problem with these tools is that, unless you spend a lot of time setting up advanced triggers, they need a person behind them to work properly. Even with one person behind, many do not work as well as a chatbot.
This occurs because it is very difficult for a person to talk to the 100% of website visitors, much less on weekends, holidays or during non-office hours.
It is best to use human resources for tasks where they can add value that an automated tool cannot. The chatbot is much better to obtain the contact information and the query of the potential customer who is visiting our website, while the human is much better to serve the potential customer and make sales.
4) Possibility of integration with CRM
Something that I really like about Cliengo is the possibility of integrating it with CRMs such as Hubspot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, etc. via Zapier Webhooks.
This means that instead of just receiving an email with the contact details of the potential customer, you can create a new potential customer directly in your CRM.
Through Zapier it is also possible to upload lead data to a Google Drive spreadsheet.
5) Conversion tracking capabilities
A very important part, if not the most important, to optimize digital campaigns is to correctly track our conversions.
Cliengo triggers events to Google Analytics with the interactions made by the user, so we can measure conversions as an event goal in Analytics and then import them into AdWords to optimize our campaigns.
The conversion event is triggered when a user leaves their name and at least one contact information.
Chatbots are a topic that I find quite interesting, so I am going to publish content and go into more detail about how to correctly implement a chatbot and the different functionalities that can be used.
