4 Ways a Professional Blog Can Help You

If we are independent professionals, we want to offer a product / service to the market or we are looking for a job, a professional blog can help us a lot.

What is a professional blog?

A professional blog is a blog in which we write about topics related to our profession, original content that arises from our experiences and ideas.

Here are 4 ways a professional blog can help us:

1) Authority: A blog with a certain audience and with quality content gives us "authority" in front of others, it is proof that we know what we are talking about.

Virtually all the professional activities that we carry out require us to demonstrate authority in it

A college law degree creates authority around you by implying that you know (or at least have an idea) of how the law works.

A good quality blog can be a very good plus to our authority, at least today much more if we dedicate ourselves to Online Marketing, Web Development, etc. for reasons of the nature of the work.

Hopefully soon I can say that this applies equally to more "traditional" professions.

2) Find a job: If we are looking for a job and we send an email with our CV we can attach a small list with links to our best articles to show the employer our experience and our own ideas about our work area.

This is a variation of the profits that we can give to the authority that we generate with our blog.

3) Carry out market studies: It usually happens that we are going to launch a product but we do not know what approach to give it, if we want to do an SEO course we may have problems in knowing what people really want to learn or where they have doubts.

Nothing better than asking potential students directly what things they want to learn or what they expect from an SEO course ... this concept is basically applicable to any market and product.

4) Offer own services: Whichever service / product we offer we must first attract people interested in what we have to offer… the best bait is useful content.

If we offer personal weight loss training, the best we can do is give advice that really works for readers and then charge for extra services and / or content.

A very good example in this niche is a friend's blog: Fitness Black Book where he writes useful tips for his readers and then offers his own ebooks on quite specific and niche-specific topics such as: "Lose weight for the summer."

That style of business with a professional blog can be adapted to almost any niche, Even if our audience is local, we can carry out paid offline events and activities.

Do you have a professional blog? And if they do, how do they use their authority? 😉
