How to reduce the pressure of blogging
I just read an article on ProBlogger With which I identify a lot, when we set goals of, for example, writing an article a day, reaching X conversion percentage or achieving the first position for a certain keyword, we usually fall under the pressure to make that happen ... NOW!
This pressure can make us give up our goals by seeing them as something distant or impossible, we must always think big when it comes to global goals but something we sometimes forget is to enjoy small goals and be clear about what we want to achieve.
Set small goals
A big goal is nothing more than a bunch of small goals in a chain, for example to finish a university degree we must first meet many small goals (and not so much) such as passing subjects, submitting work, etc.
In the same way, whatever your goal is with secure blogging, you can divide it into many small objectives, increase your number of subscribers in a month, get an interview, make a podcast, have an article of ours be accepted in a famous blog, etc.
Enjoying each of these small goals makes everything much more bearable than waiting for our main goal to magically be fulfilled overnight.
Be very simple and clear why we blog
While the goal of most people (including me) is to blog to generate reputation and monetize it ... by having this as the only global objective in mind we will end up dying of stress and nerves waiting for something to happen.
The only way to create something sustainable is to dedicate our effort to what really matters.
When it comes to blogging, if we keep things simple, what matters most is writing, building relationships with our readers, and reading other blogs and websites to stay informed.
What are your main goals and what do you do to make achieving them much more bearable? 😉
