How to turn your blog into a book

Reading Matt Cutts blog I found a very interesting article on ways to turn a blog into a book, you can see the original article here: Blog to Book?

The reasons for wanting to transform your blog into a physical book are as varied as the reasons for writing a blog, we may want to have an autobiography, collect all of our best articles on a specific topic, or perhaps simply as a souvenir.

For this we have different web services and tools to turn our blog into a book:

1) Lulu: A self-publishing website that accepts PDF files to create physical books from it, this saves us from having to go to a publisher to publish.

2) BlogBooker: This is a service that creates a high-quality PDF file from your blog, it works with both WordPress and Blogger blogs… we must both enter our URL and upload an exported XML of our blog.

It has interesting options such as choosing language, sheet size for printing, font, font size, adding or excluding comments, etc.

You can see an example of my blog without editing or organizing anything here: Guillermo Couple Book

If we edit our blog well after creating the PDF it can be a very interesting tool.

3) Blurb: This service also tries to create an ebook from a blog, but it only works with blogs hosted on wordpress.com so it is not a solution for everyone.

4) FastPencil: According to Matt, this was the service with which he had the best experience, he imports some formatting options such as bold, includes images and we can select which articles we want to use and which we don't.

This service is 100% web and we do not need to download anything, so it is a very interesting option to consider.

I particularly do not rule out the idea of releasing a thematic book when it has more content, organizing, updating my older articles and adding extra information ... there is no need to reinvent the WHOLE wheel for each new project.

Do you have any plans to turn your blog (or part of it) into a book? 😉
