Twitter: Automated messages help you meet your goal?

Although one of the tools that make Online Marketing profitable and completely differentiates it from other types of Marketing is the capacity for large-scale customization offered by tools such as autoresponders for email marketing or different automation tools in certain services and networks social.

Now, everyone uses Twitter and other services for the best results, there is no manual for this.

Personally, I do not use automatic messages because I think it is best to take a personal approach to each new follower if I see it useful ... sometimes it can take a day to give the answer, but I think that a personal message is better appreciated and according to some of the last tweets of the follower.

If we are a celebrity and we have astronomical amounts of followers per day or we have a VERY busy schedule, we may not have time to make this personal approach, then if I would use automatic messages on Twitter.

What kind of message to use to thank a follow?

I use Twitter to create relationships with professionals interested in the same topics as me, so I consider that a very publicity message is somewhat unpleasant, for example: «Hello , thanks for follow me. visit my blog and leave a comment »

Why don't I like that kind of message to contact another professional?

Because basically we are asking for time without offering anything in return, a message of that style takes away from the follower more than what he offers ... the first thing that one tends to think is: «another one who tries to convince me of something»

The above message is an order for the follower, that while using calls to action is essential to get a response from people, at least I think that it is not yet the time with a very new follower.

The thank you message should be just that, a message to thank the interest in following us and perhaps wish a productive relationship for both, chen you have offered some useful information there we can ask for favors such as RTs, opinions or comments.

I see everything as a "give to receive" and I see Twitter as a tool to create massive personalized relationships and share information "ping pong" per se… For the objectives that I pursue it is not necessary to use automatic messages, because they even go against them!

For different purposes there are different needs, I only talk about my personal goals and I know that in other situations automatic messages are essential.

What is your goal and automatic messages really help you to achieve it or are they just a nice (sometimes not so cute) ornament? 😉
