What Metrics Measure the Success of an Online Campaign?
One of the greatest virtues of Online Marketing is undoubtedly the ability to measure each aspect of our campaigns, in theory this allows us to know exactly where our investment has results and where it does not ... but in practice What metrics do we use to measure the success of an Online Marketing campaign?
I usually work oriented towards conversions and ROI, for me success is measured in the amount of money that I make enter my client's pocket with respect to the money that he takes out of his pocket, surprisingly this is not the way of working for most .
According to a survey by eMarketer the 60% of online marketers in the USA measure their success according to the CTR Y Less than 2/5 of those surveyed use ROI as their primary metric.
You can see the results of the survey below:
What this survey reveals is that while many talk about the wonders of online marketing to measure ROI and goals, when it comes to putting theory into practice, most stick to measuring clicks, impressions, or other easy-to-get data.
More than a problem, I see this as an opportunity for those of us who really strive to achieve higher conversions at a lower cost for our clients and communicate with them to try to measure the offline impact of our campaigns ... And what metrics do you use to measure the success of your campaigns? 😉
