5 Tips to Pass the GAP Exam (Google Adwords Professional)
A couple of days ago at the company where I work they offered me to take the GAP (Google Adwords Professional) exam so that I could obtain my SEM qualified professional certificate in Google ... I am very excited and I started looking for information and advice from people who have passed the exam.
They say that the new GAP exam that is coming out is much more difficult than the previous one, but surely we can apply the same advice to both exams assuming they follow the same style.
Requirements to take the GAP
- Check in in the program and find yourself in the right situation. This means that you have accepted the rules of use and that it does not violate them.
- Manage at least one AdWords account (yours or someone else's) in My Client Center for 90 days.
- Create and maintain at least 1,000 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency) of total investment for your or your team's My Client Center account during the 90-day period. To demonstrate their experience with AdWords, new MCCs must manage accounts that invest 60 days out of a 90-day period. After meeting this requirement, you only need to maintain the global investment threshold of 90 days.
- Link the MCC account to the Google Advertising Professionals program company account.
- Pass the Google Advertising Professionals exam. We recommend that you take the exam once you meet all the requirements. However, you can take the exam at any time.
Ok, ok ... I did a copy / paste to speed things up 😛
Now if I pass the 5 Tips to Pass the GAP Exam (Google Adwords Professional) that i found in Ward on the Web
1) Read the training materials: All the answers can be found in some form in the materials that Google offers for free, so giving them a good read from top to bottom is the best place to start studying.
2) Try Functions you never used: Whenever you read about a function that you never needed or did not think of, use it in the training material ... go and try those functions, see how they work, what are your options, etc.
3) Open a couple of referral sites: Since the exam is Online we have the possibility to open reference sites, the problem is that the time is too short to have a thousand windows open.
The best thing you can have open is the search engine, the training material center and your Adwords account.
4) Save difficult questions for last: As in any exam with many questions and little time, it is best to leave the difficult questions until last and make sure the points of the questions that we know well.
The exam is 90 minutes long and there are 117 questions (although I don't know if that holds for the 2010 exam), which means we have just under a minute to answer each one.
5) Use every minute: If you finished before reaching 90 minutes, use every second you have to review your answers, surely you can add some extra points.
I hope these tips will help me to soon be able to show my GAP medal on the blog and also you to get your certification 😉
