Adwords: 5 Tips to improve the Quality Score
According to Google, the Quality Score is the measure they use to analyze the relevance of our ads according to our site, put in simple words ... If you advertise for cat food, don't sell dog food on your website.
The Quality Score or "quality index" affects the cost per click of your ads, the positions it occupies and even if we have a very low Quality Score, our ads may be rejected.
This factor is VERY important when optimizing a campaign and for our client to obtain a better ROI.
So now we are going to see 5 tips to improve our Quality Score or «Quality Index»
1) Separate keywords into specific ad groups
A very frequent mistake is usually to create ad groups that are not very focused and quite dispersed, the idea is to create ad groups that are more focused and specific to a single thing, not to mix for example: "Sell on the Internet" with "Advertising on the Internet" in the same ad group.
I'm also not talking about getting ridiculous of an ad group for each keyword, but specific ad groups perform much better.
2) Create relevant ads
If we separate the keywords related to "Sell on the Internet" and "Advertising on the Internet" into two ad groups, the ads in each ad group must be specific to that focus.
Ads in the "Sell on the Internet" ad group should have a title, text and display URL accordingly, differing from the ads in the "Internet Advertising" group.
3) Add Meta Tags
We must add, for example, the Meta Description thinking based on the keywords that are working best for the campaign, both in CTR and in conversions.
Another very useful tip is to use the most descriptive and best performing keywords in our Title.
4) Make sure we are relevant
We must be relevant to the subject for which we want to promote ourselves, for that it is very useful to use the "Website Content" option of the Keyword Tool External.
This tool helps us to know in which categories we are cataloged according to Google, the more we are related to the keywords for which we want to promote ourselves, we will see better results of the Quality Index.
5) Optimize ads
Doing split testing of different styles of ads is very important to know what types of ads convert best with a certain audience, the idea is to use different verbs and calls of action.
This is a competition between our different ads where only the best survives, this helps us improve our general CTR and with it the average positions and CPC.
