Adwords Campaign Experiments (ACE)

Google introduced a couple of months ago in beta to ACE (Adwords Campaign Experiments), a very cool function that allows us to do A / B Testing for campaign optimization.

Previously to test campaigns in an account, all we could do was make changes to the campaign and compare the "before and after", the problem with this is that we cannot really know if the test results were affected by any temporary eventuality.

Now with the Adwords Campaign Experiments We can carry out tests that only affect a percentage of the traffic, for example, we can raise the CPC of a campaign for half of the impressions and keep the current CPC for the other half and thus do tests at the same time with both configurations !

Some possible uses:

1) Analyze the incremental impact of adding new keywords to an ad group.

2) Measure the different results of using different types of concordance.

3) The value of restructuring your campaigns.

4) Try different CPCs for the same ad group.
