Google Partners: The New Google Certification Program

The Google certification program will change this September 30 for a new experience for agencies and search engine marketing professionals.

This new program will have some improvements over the previous certification program, for example now certification exams will be free instead of the current cost of US$50.- per exam.

As a professional and certified Adwords partner I always felt that the Google certification program was outdated and with many problems, luckily it seems that the recommendations of the users were listened to.

How does this affect me if I am a certified professional?

- Certification exams will become free. (yay!)

- A Google Partners account will be required to take the exams and get certified. The old Google Professionals account will be left with read-only access.

- All previously obtained certifications will be valid until their expiration, so there is no reason to worry about that!

What if I have an agency?

- The company profile must be managed from the new Google Partners account.

- Certified partners will continue to appear in the Partner Search until November 13, 2013, to continue appearing after this, the new requirements must be met to obtain the new Partner badge.

- The use of the old Certified Partner badge will not be allowed after November 13, 2013.

- It is necessary to have a Google+ page of the agency and link it to the website in order to create the Google Partners account.

Okay! But how do I create my Google Partners account?

You can create your Google Partners account at the following link: Google Partners

This new certification program sounds interesting, we will have to see later what are really all the new benefits and advantages that Google offers to agencies and online marketing professionals.
