How does Google position the Results in Real Time?
All the blogs that have been and have been about SEO have already speculated a lot about the real-time results that Google incorporates from social networks such as Twitter, however there is a good question to all this:
How Does Google Position Results in Real Time?
Reading a couple of articles such as this Econsultancy article: Real Time ranking factors where the subject is discussed, although it is too early to give more than personal opinions, we can rely on something that was said by Marissa Mayer (Google representative in the 2009 Search Event).
Marissa called "Update Rank" to the set of factors that will be taken into account by Google to determine what is the content in real time that is worthwhile to separate it from simple spam.
The idea would be very similar to the concepts behind the way Google ranks "traditional" results, it's all about reputation and relevance.
Who follow us? who make us RTs? How do we relate to each other?
In the same way that a link from a web page with authority and reputation can mean a great change in our positioning, this concept can be extrapolated to Twitter, Facebook, etc.
At the end of the day, the important thing is to create authority around our profile and person, let the search engines know that our profile does not exist to do mere spam and interact with people who have the same interests as us.
The primary objective of any search engine is to offer its users useful information, the inclusion of results in real time is intended to give users current information ... but no less useful for that.
If we are useful and relevant we will get RTs, quality followers and appear in lists related to our topics in a natural way.
Throughout this year we are going to discover more in depth which factors are taken into account with more weight than others, meanwhile we can dedicate ourselves to showing our followers that we are of value and then the good positioning in the results in real time goes to come alone.
