{"id":119,"date":"2009-11-15T18:20:08","date_gmt":"2009-11-15T21:20:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/?p=119"},"modified":"2009-11-15T18:24:27","modified_gmt":"2009-11-15T21:24:27","slug":"como-google-adwords-posiciona-sus-anuncios","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/en\/digital-marketing\/how-google-adwords-positions-your-ads\/","title":{"rendered":"How does Google Adwords position its ads?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this article we are going to be explaining in a fairly simplified way the way in which <strong>Google Adwords<\/strong> position your ads, this is very important because the better our Adwords ads position, we will get more people to click on them.<\/p>\n<p>Simply put, we can summarize it like this:<strong> &quot;Google better positions the ads that put the most money in your pocket&quot;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Does this mean that the more I pay per click, will I rank better?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not necessarily, this may be true if we try to achieve good positions with &quot;brute force&quot;, this is not about working harder but about working smarter.<\/p>\n<p>Suppose there are two ads, the ad <span style=\"color: green;\">&quot;TO&quot;<\/span> and the ad <span style=\"color: red;\">\u00abB\u00bb<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: green;\">ad &quot;A&quot; pays 10 cents per click<\/span> and the <span style=\"color: red;\">ad &quot;B&quot; pays 20 cents<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: green;\">Ad &quot;A&quot; has a CTR 15%<\/span> and the <span style=\"color: red;\">ad \u00abB\u00bb only a 5%<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Which means that for every 100 times the <span style=\"color: green;\">ad &quot;A&quot; generates $1.50<\/span> for Google and the <span style=\"color: red;\">ad \u00abB\u00bb only $1<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Even if <strong>ad &quot;A&quot; pays HALF per click <\/strong>You are generating 50% more revenue for Google than the &quot;B&quot; ad, so Google is going to rank you higher in the SERPs to make you even more money.<\/p>\n<p>This is a very basic explanation of how Google Adwords works when it comes to positioning ads, in future articles we will be dealing with other aspects such as<strong> Quality Score<\/strong> and seeing what we can do to improve the CTR of our ads and thus achieve better positions for less and less money.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this article we are going to be explaining in a very simplified way the way in which Google Adwords positions its ads, this is very important since the better our Adwords ads position, we will get more people to click on them.
