{"id":1296,"date":"2011-06-30T19:14:41","date_gmt":"2011-06-30T22:14:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/?p=1296"},"modified":"2011-06-30T19:14:41","modified_gmt":"2011-06-30T22:14:41","slug":"google-adwords-4-formas-de-utilizar-reglas-automatizadas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/en\/ppc-google-ads\/google-adwords-4-ways-to-use-automated-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Adwords: 4 Ways to Use Automated Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have previously written several articles on <a href=\"https:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/en\/ppc-google-ads\/how-to-use-automated-rules-in-google-adwords\/\">Google Adwords Automated Rules<\/a> and how we can use them to save time.<\/p>\n<p>A few days ago on the official Adwords blog they wrote a very good article on how to start with Automated Rules that I found very interesting to share with my readers, you can see the original article here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/adwords.blogspot.com\/2011\/06\/getting-started-with-automated-rules.html\">Getting Started with Automated Rules<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There are virtually endless uses for automated Adwords rules, but if you don&#039;t have any prior experience, you might need some ideas on how to get started with automated rules.<\/p>\n<p>Today I present 4 ways to use automated rules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1) Schedule Ads<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Automated rules are great for signing up or canceling announcements based on special occasions, promotional events, or every few days of the week or month.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, to pause certain ads for the weekend, you had to do it manually or create a totally different campaign just for those ads.<\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, using automated rules, we can schedule ads to activate or pause according to certain conditions in a fully automated way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Pause Low-performing Ads and Keywords<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the objectives of each campaign in particular, you can configure minimum performance objectives that the ads and keywords must meet.<\/p>\n<p>Automated rules can be useful for pausing keywords and ads that are not performing as expected by the campaign without the need for you to personally control each ad and keyword.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3) Bids and Bidding Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Controlling the maximum CPC bids that we make for the different ad groups is vital for the correct performance of a campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Depending on the objectives of your campaigns, you may need to increase or decrease the CPC bids under certain conditions, for example, if you manage a 100% account focused on Performance and an ad group presents a CPA higher than the objective, normally you should reduce the Maximum CPC assigned to that ad group to see if you can improve CPA.<\/p>\n<p>In another case, if you manage a campaign more focused on Branding and you see that your ads have bad positions, you should increase your maximum CPC to be among the first positions.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of performing performance analysis and CPC actions manually, you can simply set up automated rules to control your maximum CPCs according to the parameters you define.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4) Control Budgets and Costs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a shame to miss the opportunity to get more conversions on a good day because of the daily budget, with the automated rules we can control the daily budget according to our objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Suppose one day we get a very good CPA, we can set up automated rules to extend our budget in case a campaign is showing very good conversions.<\/p>\n<p>In the same way, if we know that our campaigns perform better on some days of the week, we can increase the daily budget on those days.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Automated rules exist to make life easier<\/strong>, if you still do not apply them in your campaigns, a good exercise for today would be to think about which campaigns you can save time if you configure some rules \ud83d\ude09<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anteriormente ya escrib\u00ed varios art\u00edculos sobre las Reglas Automatizadas de Google Adwords y c\u00f3mo podemos utilizarlas para ahorrar tiempo.
