{"id":1572,"date":"2012-02-14T09:33:29","date_gmt":"2012-02-14T12:33:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/?p=1572"},"modified":"2012-02-14T18:38:34","modified_gmt":"2012-02-14T21:38:34","slug":"google-screenwise-%c2%bfcuanto-vale-tu-privacidad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/es_es\/google\/google-screenwise-%c2%bfcuanto-vale-tu-privacidad\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Screenwise: \u00bfCu\u00e1nto Vale tu Privacidad?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Este art\u00edculo no est\u00e1 relacionado directamente a Google Adwords, sin embargo me parece una noticia que vale la pena compartir.<\/p>\n<p>Hace unos d\u00edas estuve leyendo un art\u00edculo en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kurzweilai.net\/cash-for-your-cache-googles-new-program-pays-users-for-the-right-to-snoop\">KurzweilAI<\/a> sobre un nuevo servicio de Google llamado <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/landing\/screenwisepanel\/\">Screenwise Panel<\/a> que fue lanzado en conjunto con <a href=\"http:\/\/www.knowledgenetworks.com\/\">Knowledge Networks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>En un modo muy similar al m\u00e9todo utilizado por Neilsen para medir el rating televisivo, Screenwise se encargar\u00e1 de analizar en profundidad la forma en que la gente utiliza Internet d\u00eda a d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Se puede participar en el panel de forma voluntaria a trav\u00e9s de dos m\u00e9todos:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1) <\/strong>Con una extensi\u00f3n de Chrome que se encargar\u00e1 de recolectar informaci\u00f3n sobre tu uso de los distintos sitios web que visites.<\/p>\n<p>Google pagar\u00e1 <strong>5US$ en Amazon Gift Cards<\/strong> por la instalaci\u00f3n de la extensi\u00f3n y otros <strong>5US$ extras cada 3 meses<\/strong> (25US$ en total el primer a\u00f1o).<\/p>\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> Instalando un Router de reemplazo provisto por Google, el cual realiza una tarea de recolecci\u00f3n de datos y monitoreo mucho m\u00e1s extensiva y profunda que la extensi\u00f3n de navegador.<\/p>\n<p>Esta opci\u00f3n se encuentra disponible solo para miembros de Knowledge Networks y pagar\u00e1 <strong>100US$ por la instalaci\u00f3n inicia<\/strong>l y luego <strong>20US$ extras por mes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1573\" title=\"google screenwise\" src=\"http:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/google-screenwise.png\" alt=\"Google Screenwise Panel\" width=\"640\" height=\"514\" srcset=\"https:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/google-screenwise.png 640w, https:\/\/guillermopareja.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/02\/google-screenwise-300x240.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Una duda siempre presente para muchas empresas en Internet que brindan servicios gratuitos a cambio de recolectar informaci\u00f3n de los usuarios (Google, Facebook, etc.) es saber cu\u00e1nto vale la privacidad de los mismos y hasta donde est\u00e1n dispuestos a exponerse.<\/p>\n<p>En este caso Google realiza esta pregunta de forma directa y ofreciendo dinero \u00abreal\u00bb a los usuarios que participen voluntariamente.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan un art\u00edculo en <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gadgets\/news\/2012\/02\/google-paying-users-to-track-100-of-their-web-usage-via-little-black-box.ars?src=fbk\">ArsTechnica<\/a>, entre los acuerdos legales al registrarse para participar en el panel, <strong>Google podr\u00e1 compartir esta informaci\u00f3n con terceros tales como: instituciones acad\u00e9micas, anunciantes, publishers y redes de programaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo no se ofrece mayor informaci\u00f3n sobre el funcionamiento de la extensi\u00f3n de Chrome ni el Router negro.<\/p>\n<p>Google es una de las empresas de publicidad m\u00e1s grandes del mundo, por lo cu\u00e1l no ser\u00eda raro que ahora tambi\u00e9n est\u00e9n buscando convertirse en una de las empresas consumidoras de datos m\u00e1s grandes.
