Goodbye to Google Website Optimizer and Hello to Analytics Content Experiments
Google Website Optimizer is a tool that helped many of us meet strict cost-per-conversion targets and improve the usability of thousands of websites around the world.
For several years this tool provided the possibility of carrying out A / B and Multivariate tests completely free of charge and in a VERY simple way to configure, considerably reducing the cost associated with producing experiments on our sites.
Today Google announced that the Website Optimizer tool would be withdrawn and instead we would have a new option in Google Analytics called «Content Experiments»
The idea behind this is the integration of the different tools provided by Google and the possibility of adding more interaction between them in order to meet our advertising objectives much more effectively.
So today we say "goodbye" to a good friend and "hello" to a new one who promises to offer us much more.
