How to Create a Traffic Network

Note: This article assumes that you already have knowledge of Internet Marketing and Affiliate Marketing.

How to Create a Traffic Network

Ten years ago, it was easy to create a 5-page site using HTML and, through “affiliate marketing,” earn much more than just a few tickets to buy a couple of beers every weekend. The Internet was still something of a new medium, especially in Spanish-speaking countries.

If you had a website at the time, chances are it was one of the only ones in its niche!

Nowadays, it is not so easy anymore, but it is also not impossible to create a powerful network of traffic that can turn out to be thousands of dollars every month (or every day!). It is true that the Internet is no longer as strange and unknown as it used to be (People looking for dates on the web are not so scary anymore!), But that fact opens many doors for entrepreneurs who want to be successful with affiliate marketing.

I give you the first steps to create your own traffic network.

Choose a single topic that interests you

When starting out, pick a single topic to focus on. Later, you can add more. It is very important to create a network on a topic that interests you. For example, "Lady Gaga" can be a keyword with a lot of searches, but if you don't like her music at all, it would not be good to start with a site dedicated to her.

Better to choose something that you like to talk about, write about, and do more research.

Find a niche within that topic

Instead of trying to compete with common words and phrases, like "red cars," try to find a niche, like "vintage sports cars." The most specific words do not have as many searches, but there is less competition for a good positioning and users tend to be more serious and have a greater tendency to buy something, ie the CTR will be much higher.

Buy 5 domains to start

I use 5 as an example, but I think it's a good number to start with. Choose the "Money Site," the site that has the "affiliate links" or that sells your product, and the 4 that will direct traffic to the "Money Site." Typically all 4 focus on one niche of the niche, ie engines / brands / etc. of vintage sports cars.

When you buy the domains, you try to buy domains that are not new, ie from an auction, etc. (http://auctions.godaddy.com) and that have some keywords in the URL.

Create the sites using WordPress and optimize for SEO

Create the sites using WordPress, host them on different class C IP addresses and optimize them for search engines, ie Google.

It's very important NOT link them all at the beginning. The 4 "sub sites" should only point to the "Money Site," until the 4 have more traffic and better positions. If Google detects a network, it can penalize you and remove your sites from the results.

Measure, Analyze, Evaluate, Adjust, Repeat

When you are successful with the first network, you can do another and another and another!
