Performance Online Marketing vs Old Online Marketing

The image above basically sums up the article, if Performance Marketing was up against old-school Online Marketing the result would be that.

It does not mean that the Performance Marketing Online necessarily use techniques totally different from Online Marketing that we all know but that what changes is the vision and mentality of work, still in Latin America the majority of people have a vision of the internet quite "1.0" if they had to use a fashionable term to describe it.

This "mentality" of performance is nothing new, but has been used in Europe or the USA for some time in response to the great competition on the internet, but it could be said that here it is still in its infancy.

Performance Marketing, as its name indicates, is results-oriented, that is, producing ROI (return on investment) quickly and ensure that it is sustained over time ... If the company does not win, neither does the consulting firm.

Creating a website and leaving it to its own devices (or worse, believing that everything that can be done is being done) is a luxury that companies can no longer afford if they really want to take advantage of the internet for something.

Today the competition is such that one needs to be active with their web projects, there are many more opportunities than in previous years but in the same way, intelligence work is required to take advantage of them.

It is not about getting traffic just by adding numbers, being in first place for a couple of popular keywords because yes or doing PPC (pay per click) campaigns without rhyme or reason, but about actually creating a comprehensive internet sales channel.

If the key is not in traffic, positioning or doing PPC campaigns ... then where is it?

The key is to get traffic, positioning and do PPC campaigns intelligently, getting qualified traffic, taking advantage of the real power of social networks, doing a good study of keywords that REALLY are phrases or words that people use to buy ... takes into account the overall user experience. The whole is more than the sum of its parts (if done right).

The problem with this is that there are no specialized courses in the country or too much information about it (at least in Spanish) and to carry out Performance Marketing to a successful end, a panoramic view of everything that the internet really is is needed. On the contrary, the most possible thing is that we end up as blackmails who promise more than they can.

I believe that, as in all things, evolution is the exception and extinction is the rule, so it is better to be adapting to the new times before they crush us.
