The Best of Google Adwords in 2010
This is the last blog post of the year and I really feel that the work done was productive, with 103 articles written, many opportunities gained, and many well-known people.
To say goodbye to the year I leave you an article about the best of Google Adwords in 2010, which was undoubtedly a year with many news in terms of new options and changes in the interface of the platform, it is worth clarifying the list is not found in no particular order.
The Best of Google Adwords in 2010:
1) Remarketing: An excellent option to reconnect with those users who visited our site and did not make the expected conversion, also very useful to implement upselling techniques or a virtual newsletter.
2) Interest Category Marketing: Another option to get more out of the display network, instead of targeting our ads to keywords or locations, ICM offers us the possibility of targeting ads according to the interests of users.
3) Enhanced CPC: A bidding option very similar to the Conversion Optimizer, but with the difference that we have more control thanks to the fact that we can select a maximum CPC.
4) Modified Broad Match: This new type of match makes it possible to achieve a better controlled spectrum of traffic than broad match but without losing long-tail traffic, which is the best virtue of broad match. (Or its worst flaw depending on how well you control it hehe)
5) Adwords Campaign Experiments: ACE is undoubtedly one of my new favorite Adwords options, this option allows us to perform controlled bidding experiments, ads and keywords, a true ally when optimizing.
6) New Interface: Some hate it and others love it, I started as one of the first and now I am one of the second, I already feel comfortable using it and I think that as they introduce all the pending improvements, we will all feel that the change was worth it.
7) Automated Campaign Management: The last year-end gift that is currently in the beta phase but which is already available to various agencies in the USA and UK. This new option allows the automated administration of Adwords accounts according to parameters set by ourselves.
8 ) Image Search Ads: The image search network offers many opportunities that are not yet being taken, but Google has already taken the first step by offering us the ability to create image ads for the image search network when users make search queries related to our products or services in the same way as the "traditional" search network.
9) Contextual Targeting Tool: Another of Google's end-of-year gifts, this new tool allows us to conduct keyword research for contextually oriented campaigns on the display network. I personally did tests with this tool and it is VERY useful since it allows us to export the ad groups and keywords investigated directly to the Adwords Editor format and upload them to our campaigns with just a couple of clicks.
I am sure that I will have forgotten some other option or change in Adwords that is worth mentioning, if something occurs to you, just comment and I will add it to the list.
Finally, if during 2010 you found this blog useful, I would like you to write a comment about your experience with the blog, suggestions, criticisms or whatever comes to mind since on January 1, 2011 I raffle a Google Adwords Voucher worth 100US$ among the people who comment on this article.
Thanks for being a blog reader, happy holidays and see you next year!
