On his blog called GottaQuirk (they should read it if they don't) there is a section called "Friday Fact Box" where every Friday they talk about some fact on the Internet (as the name of the section suggests).
One of the last facts was based on the question: "Why do people go online?"Honestly, the article has already left me reflecting from the title ... although many of us spend hours and hours every day on the Internet, sometimes even as a reflex action, there is always a reason behind it.
Knowing our audience is vital for almost any type of activity, although we all know that even our grandmother (at least mine) spends hours and hours on the Internet… do we know what motivates them to do so?
Ruder Finn conducts research that analyzes the intention with which surfers use the Internet, the results are separated into 5 groups: all, men, women, young and old.
One factor that remains constant is that the most sought after by all is: learn, have fun and socialize. Hence the importance of really socializing with your market and offering them useful information, everything is giving to receive.
